Joie, hailing from a family of dog lovers, was a seasoned dog breeder and competitor. Ed's passion for dogs was ignited by his first wife and their beloved German Shorthair Pointer, "Candy."
After tying the knot, the couple settled in various places before finally finding the perfect spot in Olalla to bring their dream to life. In 1993, Peninsula Pet Lodge Inc. opened its doors, starting small but steadily growing over the years. The Chandlers even expanded to Gig Harbor in 2000, transforming an old pet business into a modern facility.
