Jason Shine is the Senior Director of Business Development for Destination Pet in the Midwestern Region of the US. Jason came to Destination Pet from NVA Pet Resorts where he was the Business Development Director covering the Western half of the US. Prior to this last role, Jason owned and operated three pet resorts in San Francisco and Cincinnati for over 17 years. These locations offered dog daycare, overnight boarding, full-service grooming, dog training, pickup/delivery, and retail. Jason built these businesses from the ground up, operated them, and then sold them. Having gone through the pet resort sales process several times, Jason is very aware of all the hesitation and concern that comes with the possibility of selling a business that each owner worked so hard to create. Whether pet resort owners are interested in selling in the near term or many years down the road, Jason enjoys working with pet resort owners to earn their trust, build long-term business relationships, and help to determine exit strategies that maximize business value.
